Dog training ..

Cotons love dog training!

When Mille was only 9 weeks old we started puppy training in Skanderborg.

We are Mille and Randi but always with Kaj cheering from the sideline.

As I never had a dog before it seemed a good idea. Indeed it was , and I can warmly recommend it to anybody. On one hand I learned a lot about dogs and their upbringing - on the other hand we all 3 had incredible fun.

We feel we were lucky to join a very good team with an extremely skilled teacher.

Mille was a very small dog amongst many large dogs and even the teacher was uncertain of how much she might learn.

But she did very well and continued training for several years.

Mille learned many things but the drill she loved most was to follow a trail and she was so good at it - actually I do not think she learned it - she just did it. She would keep her nose deep into the trail - sounding like a small vacuum cleaner - and she cracked every trail she was set up to.

Mille no longer trains in the club, but still trains daily.

She never gets a goodie without working for it, and she obviously loves he challenges and is very proud when she solves the tasks she is put up to.

Mille can lay, wait, sit, kiss mama, find toys we hide, leave her goody until she has permission, and much more. If there is anything she does not do so well (and indeed there is) the blame should be put on Ma and Pa, who sometimes tend to be charmed by the little clown and lets her get away with being a bit lazy.

But I warmly recommend dog training - or just teaching Your dog - for both dog and man will love it.
